We believe God intends for us to do life together. God never intended for us to live the Christian life alone. You might say we were meant for one other!
However, meaningful relationships don’t just happen. Our natural tendency is to live increasingly isolated lives. Our Community Group Ministry is our attempt to make relationships and community a reality at Redeemer. Groups meet weekly during the Spring and Fall semesters in church members’ homes throughout Eagle and Gypsum. Each group generally consist of 8- 15 adults. Some groups include young children in their meetings.
The groups are led by men in the church who have been identified and trained by the elders. Their role is that of a servant, facilitating the pursuit of God-centered relationships. Meetings may include some singing, prayer, a group discussion, and time to enjoy conversation with each other. The goal is mutual care and the pursuit of godliness. Some semesters we may study through a topic using an elder approved book. At other times, the groups follow the sermon series. In all of this we are trying to apply the Bible to our lives and our lives to the mission of God.
Guests are always welcome and more information on how to participate in a home group in your area is available on Sundays at the Information Center (front table :)) or by contacting the church office at firstname.lastname@example.org.
